We awoke this morning to a soft blanket of snow on the world outside.
As I watch the graceful flakes resting gently, one upon the other, I marvel at the stillness and solitude it brings.
The bright, lovely days of spring beckon me to join-in as early as possible and not relent until the last rays of sunlight diminish over the horizon.
Oh, but winter, wise and peaceful winter, your day-song often interrupts or slows our many plans and activities.
It would be a lesson lost if I did not heed your call to welcome the respite, allowing refrain to have its way.
